CALLING ALL UMPIRES FOR THE 2024 SPRING SEASON!
We are actively looking for both adult umpires and youth umpires. No experience needed, you will receive training and start out at the appropriate level. If you are interested in participating in the Encinitas National Little League Youth or Adult Umpire Program, fill out the 2024 ENLL Umpire Interest Form below, or send an email to [email protected]
When the game assignments are completed they will be posted below. Please take the time now to read the division specific rules so you are prepared to umpire games when assigned. The division specific rules are found on the Division Rules page.
The first chance to learn the rules and prepare for the season is a free Umpire Mechanics Clinic Saturday, February 10, from 9am to 1pm, at Tierra Bonita Elementary School, 14678 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway, CA 92064. Check the "Clinics" page on the District 31 Umpire website, HERE, for the training registration link, Here. The second chance to learn the rules and prepare for the season is a free Umpire Mechanics Clinic Sunday, February 25, from 9am to 12pm, at Ecke YMCA, 200 Saxony Road, Encinitas, CA 92024. Sign up for the training here. Those that participate in training will have scheduling priority for ENLL games.
If you were not able to sign up for one of those clinics there will be umpire clinics at Park Dale Lane (PDL) on Saturday, February 17, and Saturday, February 24 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Attending one or all of the free clinics is important to gain the knowledge and experience that you need to be successful as an umpire at any level. Attendees at the clinics will have priority for game assignments.

About the Umpire Program
• The program is called “Umpire Pay Per Diem.” Umpires are paid based on a scale provided by the league.
• Youth umpiring is open to all youth that meet league ages 11 to 17.
• Your past experience will determine what division you will be eligible to umpire in. Below are guidelines and the UIC can make an exception to any rule if he deems necessary.
The pay for 2024 ENLL Umpires is outlined below:
Juniors/Majors Games – $50 Plate / $40 Base (Solo: $65)
AAA Games – $30 Plate / $25 Base (Solo $45)
AA Games – $25 Plate / $20 Base
• League Age 11 can umpire AA games only.
• League Age 12 can umpire AAA and AA.
• League Age 13 and up can umpire Majors, AAA and AA.
